    Dear Hank,
Yes, Terry Pratchett is one of the worlds greatest gifts to people the world over, and yes, Moist von Lipwig is one of his more awesome characters, and yes, The Truth is an awesome book.

But it facial appearance William de Worde. Who is certainly a peripheral character in the Moist books, but is not a con man.

    Sorry.

  4. Roijibiv on May 26th, 2009 2:28 pm

I thought The Truth was about William de Worde, not Moist Von Lipwig :S. But yes, Terry Pratchett is a gift to humanity. Brilliant.

Pratchett is awesome! I’d also recommend Neil Gaiman. In the end anything he has written is excellent. Coraline was wonderfully right to the book by the same name. He also wrote a book called American Gods about a war between the ancient gods of mythology and the new gods of technology which was incredible if long.

    -looks at your bookcase-
Do you own some Toyko Pop Manga?

  16. Amdarai on May 26th, 2009 2:28 pm

Wanna read more about undead?? (or rather perfectly dead in this case…)
I strongly recomend Garth Nix’s “Sabriel” “Lirael” and “Abhorsen”.
In the end… Fantasy meets the 1930s while necromancers run amok!

Same author, “the keys to the kingdom” series. The amount of imagination used while writing this must have been… alot! Really alot!

Ok theese are not excellent reviews… but thats why there are people who gets paid for doing a better job than me. :)

I’m probably very behind on “The Books All’s Already Read” BUT, a very excellent book series, you’ve probably heard of it, is Douglas Adams’ “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to The Galaxy”. Really awesome series, i’m about halfway owing to the last one. If you haven’t read it, then READ THEM!

You want Pride and Prejudice and Zombies?!?! Well, lucky you there is a book just like that – I found it on Amazon but I am sure it is the world over. Here it is:

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: The Classic Regency Romance

by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith

You have two copies of my favorite book ever on your bookshelf… ‘a language older then words’ and also ‘a polish of make believe.’ Derrick Jensen is an incredible author.. I am glad to see that you choose.

  25. Jedichickens703 on May 26th, 2009 2:28 pm

    Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein
like Les Miserables, im pretty sure it’s gonna be a classic, lol. And like Les Miserables, it’s one of the most miserable books in the world. Every time you reckon it can’t get worse, it does. And it doesn’t help that the main character spends half the book whining about how much his life sucks. Moral of the report: Don’t judge people based on appearances, or they will become bitter, swear revenge on humanity, and kill all your family and acquaintances.
