My point was: a lot of people DO compare it to the M5 and AMG, even in magazines.

I find is suspicious Audi hasn’t released a Ring time for the RS6.

  6. capitalflush on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am

Well, you said that you thought this S6 wasn’t the real M5/E63 competitor. And it really isn’t, the RS6 is Audi’s real super sedan. The S6 always precedes the RS6′s launch and I have reason to believe it’s strategical so Audi can see how it stands up against the competition and then launch a car (the RS6) which beats them.

And it does beat the competition but considering the time between the launch of current M5′s/E63′s and the RS6, it’s only expected that a later model as the RS6′s better.

What are you trying to talk about? We aren’t talking about the upcoming M5 or the C6 RS6.

  8. capitalflush on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am

Have you heard of the RS6? Beats the M5, but not the up coming 09 M5..

  9. mikealfeld on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am

People keep shorting the S6 against M5 and E63; but at 7K cheaper it’s the only one with Quattro. Rain and snow are FUN to drive in! Ever go 140 MPH in a snow flurry? I have.

I don’t really reckon of this as a real M5/E63 competitor. It’s MUCH cheaper and slower. I see it more as an alternative to the XF Supercharged.

The S add ons make this truly gorgeous, and it sounds incredible. I just wish it was quicker for the fee.

  11. Porsche911Fanatic on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am

That car is fantastic. I like that color combo, Black/Colorless.

  12. 8MunchenBayern8 on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am

you roll down because it is a TRUE manual with a clasp…thats why it rolls…umm…and the RS6 is a VERY HEAVY CAR i believe that its even 200kg heavier than the m5….

  13. NickyH55 on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am

also u roll down hills and theres no crawl which makes stop and go city driving a real bitch

iam not say the m5 is terrible, its not by any means the 2009 S6 will be just as excellent though

o and fucking i drive i mean come on

also the RS6 will be be incredible

and i thought that lambo mad alot of the engines for audi’s S cars

  14. 8MunchenBayern8 on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am

it’s not as excellent as an M5….Audi’s engines dont win engine awards like BMW….and how is the SMG transmission terrible? I guarantee youve never driven one….they just dont like it because it jerks on down shifts and up shifts….which is the best thing if you really like driving. if not they yeah…SMG is not excellent.

  15. NickyH55 on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am

this is the ancient one the new one is just as excellent

also the m5 smg transmission sucks

  16. amerikanzero on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am

    incorrect.

  17. 8MunchenBayern8 on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am

    awesome car….M5 is better though

  18. youmils03 on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am

Competitors include the BMW 535i, Mercedes-Benz E550, and Lexus GS460.

  19. youmils03 on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am

    I’d much rather have an Audi S6 than a BMW 535i, Mercedes-Benz E550, and Lexus GS460.

  20. remoh1972 on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am

the s6 will handle corners, the camaro wont….. ;-> Its a well known fact outside of the usa that US auto manufacturers cannot build a excellent chassis and suspension setup that doesnt boat around like a supersize me tank

  21. aybeeceeboi on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am

    bland…

  22. audikillsbmw15 on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am

    fantastic fun

  23. USAJuly4th1776 on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am

I’m subdue thinking of getting the new SS Camaro though… when and if it finally comes out!

  24. USAJuly4th1776 on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am

Dude… Audis are just gorgeous cars.

  25. oistein74 on July 30th, 2009 9:52 am
