The Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton was a really cool book in my opinion. Prey is also a very excellent one.

Michael Crichton is my favorite author though.

But I haven’t read 1984. I have heard that its fantastic.

  5. Grintoth on April 22nd, 2009 10:41 am

The Treasure is my 2nd least favorite book, right next to The Red Pony, also by Steinbeck. Steinbeck is my least favorite author. And yet, I’m making myself read The Grapes of Wrath.

  6. Grintoth on April 22nd, 2009 10:41 am

Yeah, it hurt my brain though.

I LOVE the Transall Saga! That book was incredible! It’s been a long time since I’ve read it, but I’ll re-read it someday.

hey, you need to read two ancient book series. The Warlock series by Christopher Stasheff and the Magic of Zanth Trilogy by Peirs Anthony. I Also recommend Split Infinity by Peirs Anthony also. I liked Hyperion but found it a small odd. but this is Evan from SBA and I hope that you read your comments!

About 500 pages, with frustratingly small font, so yes, it was long.

  19. marionbarfs on April 22nd, 2009 10:41 am

    yay for book reviews
    I like 1984 a lot
it’s one of my favorite books
more people should read books lol

haha, “Steinbeck is subdue my least favorite author.” Yeah I have to choose, I despise steinbeck.

Cusp sounds like a terrible premise, but I haven’t read it.

I’d like to read 1984, I’ve never got around to it yet.

I despise Crichton, I no longer read him, frequently because everything he writes reads like a show script. And I have to say, I like Crichton movies, but not his books… I mean there is a reason I read books.

I didn’t really get into Hyperion, the over theme seemed to meander.

You only really know Hyperion when you’ve read the sequel. The first book is like a book-length intro for the things to come in the next.

  24. XXsavieXX on April 22nd, 2009 10:41 am

Dandelion WIne, Im reading it in my english class.
